Advertising and Public Relations Major Wins International Award

Jeong Jin Hyuk, a senior majoring in Advertising and Public Relations, won the Gold Prize in the area of Digital Outdoor Media at the 43rd Creativity International Awards. As an additional honor, he also qualified to participate in the Student Mentoring Program occurring in the U.S., through which his work will be displayed every year.

Jeong's work was titled 'What is Smart?' to exemplify his personal perspective on ‘Smart’. For him, ‘Smart’ represented an ability to make live observations of the opposite side of the Earth. This was accomplished through a connection established using a Galaxy S series phone produced by Samsung Electronics. His work also won a Special Prize at the 2012 Busan International Advertising Festival.

The honored Advertising and Public Relations student said that he was challenged by this international contest to gain a distinction exceeding those of other domestic contests. He suggested that the Self-Brand Development Program at Dongseo University gave him increased opportunities to be challenged through several authorized contests.
