The Division of Computer Engineering aims to nurture digital talents for the 21st century that are equipped with creative and hands-on abilities necessary to lead knowledge information industry of the 21st century such as network, internet, and multimedia business.

In accordance with the IT field specialization policy of the University, computer engineering fosters practical workforce specialized in IT that can enhance quality and external competitiveness of the industry by providing practice-oriented training which reflects the need of human resources in the IT industry.

The Division of Computer Engineering consists of Mobile Track to train new technology talents of mobile computing devices known as smart phone; Information Communication Security Track, where white hackers, guardians of latest networking technology and information security, are cultivated; Software Track to train software development programmers suitable for diversified platform types; Smart IoT Track to train professionals in the field of IoT of Hyper Connected Society where things and humans are connected via network; and Computer System Track for fostering talents of latest computer applied technology such as cloud computing and big data processing.

In particular, The Regional Technology Innovation Center for Ubiquitous Computer Graphics Application (U-RIC) provides small and medium companies aiming to develop products by applying computer graphic technology with technology support through professionals and high tech equipment, and also offers space for R&D and venture startups to change the fundamental soundness of the entire industry landscape in Busan, and cause riffle effect of "Ubiquitous Computer Graphic" industry to enhance quality and external competitiveness of Busan-based Industries, including game, videos, and ubiquitous networking.
