On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Dongseo University opened a collaborative research center in the 2nd floor XCCT (eXtended Cultural Contents and Technology) of Global Village. 

The new research center will be jointly run with Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and it will focus on future audiovisual and digital contents.

Dongseo University's XCCT plans, develops, and researches cutting-edge future audiovisual contents that are in high demand in the era of new media, including VFX videos, 3D animations, 

artificial intelligence, and XR contents. The establishment of the joint research center with the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law Korea-China New Media Institute is intended to 

facilitate graduate-level research exchanges and international collaboration.

In his greeting, President Chang Jekuk said, "Dongseo University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law have been collaborating through joint educational programs, 

and we will make concerted efforts through the “Korea-China Future Video Contents Convergence and Innovation Research Center” to foster greater convergence and innovation."

During his remarks, Secretary-General of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Hou Zhenpa, said, "The achievements in the field of future video content 

at Dongseo University are impressive, and I hope that the joint research center will serve as a catalyst for further developments."

Following the plaque unveiling ceremony, Chen Shufeng, Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law; Zhu Jianyan, 

Secretary-General of the Korea-China New Media Institute; and officials from Dongseo University toured the XCCT Labs and learned about student works, 

awards, and research areas, agreeing to collaborate more closely together in the future.
