Dongseo University President Jekuk Chang recently announced that DSU was awarded 4.79 billion won from the Korean Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and given an excellent assessment in the evaluation of the LINC program. He added that DSU was the only participating Busan university to receive an excellent evaluation.

LINC (Leaders in Industry/university Cooperation) is a program dedicated to improving university education and cooperation between industries and universities in Korea. There are 55 participating universities in 15 cities across the country. The LINC report evaluations determine the level of financial support universities and industries will receive from through the program.

DSU LINC Business plans to institute a “Package Distribution Education Model,” which includes programs such as the AIISUN program, a program for training talented people to increase their employability, the “RUN” (Class Selling) program, and the “Pool” system for distribution of class credits.

Jo Dae-su, Head of the LINC Business Division, elaborated on President Chang’s statements, saying that “DSU’s selection as an outstanding university within the LINC program, and the commensurate financial support awarded, will allow us to sustain and further develop programs like AIISUN through our distributive education model.”
