Academic Exchange Agreement Signed with Lander University

Dongseo University and Lander University concluded an academic exchange agreement on October 19th.
Representing Dongseo University at the signing ceremony were DSU President Jekuk Chang, Vice President Cho Jeoung Seong and five university Deans. From Lander were President Daniel W. Ball and his wife along with Dean Park Jae Sung of the International Cooperation Center and his wife.
Lander is a public university located in Greenwood, South Carolina, in the United States. Its core academic strengths are humanities and science. Lander University students come from 29 states in the U.S. as well as from 17 foreign countries.

At the signing ceremony it was announced that Lander University would accept five DSU students each semester, starting next year. The five lucky DSU students selected to study at Lander University will also receive a Presidential scholarship, awarded by President Daniel W. Ball and the Lander University Board of Directors.

After the signing ceremony, the Lander University representatives visited the 3D Exhibition Hall and the Minseok Library at DSU’s Main Campus. They then visited DSU’s Centum Campus to see the Sohyang Musical Theatre and the Im Kwon Taek Film Museum. President Daniel W. Ball was impressed, and he praised the specialized departments of DSU.

President Jekuk Chang said at the ceremony: “Lander University has a long history, and Dongseo University pursues academic innovation. Collaboration between our two universities will bring great synergy. I hope this agreement will facilitate various types of practical cooperation including student exchanges.”

Daniel W. Ball, President of Lander University, remarked: “In a short period of only 20 years, DSU has made a remarkable development. I hope both our universities will continue to develop and cooperate.”
