Three senior DSU students in the Chinese Department showed their outstanding abilities at recent Chinese language competitions in Korea.

Chung Yoon Jin took the Participation Prize at the 12th Korean Undergraduate & Graduate School Students Chinese Competition Conference. This conference is co-hosted by the Confucius Institute in Seoul and the HSK Service Bureau, and it is sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Embassy. Ms. Chung also won an honorable mention at the 5th National College Students Chinese Presentation Contest earlier this semester.

Son So Rim won the Silver Prize at the 9th Chunghwayeon Chinese Presentation Contest held by the Korea-China Association for Cultural Exchange. The main purpose of this association is to encourage cultural exchange between Korea and China by cultivating global individuals talented in Chinese.

Finally, Ha Hyun Jeong placed third at the Shanghai Chinese Speaking Contest, sponsored by Busan Metropolitan City and the Institute of Chinese Studies at Pusan National University.
