International Acting Role for DSU’s President

총장님 일본 드라마 출연10.jpg (783.93 KB)Dr. Jekuk Chang, President of Dongseo University, will appear in a new Japanese TV drama titled “明太子ピリリ (Mentaikopiriri)”, which is set to air in August. In the episode, Dr. Chang plays a tourism official guiding a Japanese couple around Busan. He was offered this role by a representative of Television Nishinippon Corporation (TNC)-TV whom he met at the Border Regions in Transition (BRIT XII) Busan-Fukuoka Forum held in part at DSU this past February.
Dr. Chang was excited to have this opportunity to gain experience of the filmmaking process, and he explained that appearing in the drama provided him with some additional insight and a better appreciation of what DSU students in the Im Kwon Taek College of Film & Performing Arts are studying. Dr. Chang also said that the friendship and economic development between Fukuoka and Busan may be further strengthened through these kinds of cross-cultural endeavors.
