Freshmen Sworn In At Entrance Ceremony

On Feb. 25th, freshmen at DSU made an oath at Minsuk sports center during Dongseo University (DSU) entrance ceremony that they would be honorable students of DSU through their passionate studying and efforts.

The freshmen this year won DSU’s highest competition rate among four-year-universities in Busan.

President Jekuk Chang stated, “DSU has a fast speed of development, and is a strong, internationalized university, despite its short history and size.

President Chang also emphasized to freshmen, “If you design a grand blueprint for life, believe and follow DSU and professors, you will realize the vision of BDAD (Before Dongseo, After Dongseo). Your life will be completely changed at the moment you graduate.”

Dr. Sung Man Chang, DSU’s founder encouraged, “To be successful in your life, it is important to have an attitude to persevere challenging situations and to have a definite goal. Being a talented person, serving both God and humanity, with the trust of DSU and a can-do attitude, you will succeed.”

Freshmen expressed their pleasure to enter DSU and shared their dreams.

Lee, Hye Jun majoring in Nursing Science said, “I’m so glad that I entered DSU as a scholarship student. I’m willing to work really hard at DSU. After graduation, I’m going to prepare to get a job at a well-known university hospital. I want to be a true health care provider, healing the sick.”

“When I was young, I grew up with my grandmother at the countryside for quite a long time. I want to be a famous architecture and build a new house for my grandmother. I love making things”, said Gwon, Gi Pyo, an Architecture & Civil Engineering major.

Hu, Da Young, a major in Im Kwon Taek College of Film & Performing Arts said, “I was told that there are passionate professors, great facilities and equipment at DSU Centum Campus where I’m taking my major classes and that’s why I chose DSU. I want to make good friends to get along with for 4 years, not as rivals, but with open-mindedness. I want to perform a professional musical after I graduate.”

BDAD is DSU’s educational philosophy, which promises a bright future (My Bright Future) to students by providing various opportunities that will completely change them. The freshmen at DSU promised during BDAD declaration ceremony, “We will realize BDAD, by actively participating in DSU’s various specialized programs.”
