39 Dongseo Students participate in a Study Abroad Program at Hope International University

39 Dongseo students went to Hope International University in the U.S.A. on January 23rd, for the study abroad program. Among them, 27 students belong to the U.S. SAP, and 12 students belong to the Study Abroad Program division of the English Department.

Students who participate in the U.S. SAP are going to take nine credits of English classes and nine credits of classes for their majors. Students of the English Dept. are taking 18 credits of English classes at the university. The term for both programs is 16 weeks, starting from January 23rd and ending May 14th, 2010.

Participants of the U.S. SAP take special lectures about successful business strategy abroad, from Dongseo guest professors, Kang Suk Hee, the Mayor of the City of Irvine, Choi Ra Na, the Director of the Board of the L.A Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cho Byung Tae, the former President of OKTA (Overseas Korean Traders Association) as well as others.

Students who are in the U.S. SAP as well as the Study Abroad Program division of the English Department receive financial support from Dongseo University. Here is the total number of students from the U.S. SAP program who have participated each term since 2007. 57 students in their first term, 28 in their second term in 2007, 34 in their first term and 40 in their second term in 2008, 19 in their first term and 20 in their second term in 2009, and 27 in their first term in 2010. A total of 225 students have participated so far.
