23 Students Participate in Study Abroad Program in China

Beginning February 23rd and continuing through July 15th of this year, 23 DSU students from six different majors are staying at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law on a study abroad program in China. These majors include Tourism Management,International Relations, International Trade and Business, Event Planning, Department of English, and Department of Chinese. These students will take 18 credits and attend class 35 hours a week. Dongseo University will cover tuition and boarding expenses while the students will pay only for flight fares and meals. During the program, students will learn Chinese language and culture from Chinese professors, and at the same time, have the opportunity for cultural experiences with peers and locals.

Kim Su Jung, majoring in International Trade and Business said, “I studied Chinese during my sophomore year, but it wasn’t enough. So I’ve decided to study in China.” She continues, “After I study Chinese really hard, I plan to get a job in the field of international trade.”

Department of Chinese sophomore Jung Eun Hye said, “My dream is to be a Chinese translator. I’d like to study Chinese in China to prepare for it.”
