71 Chinese Students Came to Dongseo to Study

A lot of Chinese students came to Dongseo University to study cutting-edge technology of design. There are 51 students in the undergraduate program and 20 students in the master’s degree program, all but one of whom were majoring in design at their Chinese universities..

◇The Design Graduate School, China Branch Campus:
Twenty students from the Design Graduate School, China Branch entered Korea on March 4th and started graduate courses at DSU. Before entering Korea, they studied Korean language and design at Beijing Institute of Technology for six months. They plan to complete a master’s degree program at DSU’s Graduate School of Design over the next two years. While staying here, they must study Korean at the International Education Center for three hours per week in addition to the design course, and their graduation thesis will have to be written in Korean or English.

◇Shanghai University of Engineering Science:
Fifty-one junior students majoring in multimedia design at Shanghai University of Engineering Science arrived at Dongseo on March 4th and started their studies. They will earn twenty credits this semester; four mandatory courses are audio & visual editing, project design, interspace design and basic simulation design, and one elective intensified course from a set of four options including virtual reality and digital animation.
These Chinese students had been educated at Shanghai University of Engineering Science for three and a half years, and then came to DSU to study multimedia design for a semester. DSU professors Kim Jong Gi and Kim Hyung Woo have been sent to Shanghai University of Engineering Science where they teach freshman and sophomore courses.
