Students in the Department of Fashion Design at Dongseo University swept all the awards including the grand prize at the “17th Busan Fashion Design Contest,” which was held at BEXCO on October 15th. Lee Ah Reum won the grand prize; Lee Ju Hyeong won a gold prize; Kim Dong Wan won a silver prize; and Park Wang Heum, Park Na Young, Chae Jo Eun and Lee Ok Im each won a bronze prize.
Lee Ah Reum’s work, “Dream and Phantasm,” created a dress in the motif of a Gothic building. Through her design using gold-colored crystals and black rabbit fur, you can feel romantic as if in a dream. She said, "I think fashion is an aggregate of cultures. When culture and clothes are combined well, excellent designs are made. When I created my work, I exerted every effort to combine clothes and culture, and I think my choice of using a Gothic design helped me to win this award."
