Grand Prize Won at the Busan Regional Industry Tech Exhibition

박람회.jpg (155.05 KB)On October 7th, DSU President Jekuk Chang announced that a product co-developed by Dongseo University students together with various small and medium sized firms in Busan won the Grand Prize at the 2015 Busan Regional Industry Tech Exhibition.
Kim Yang-hun (Mechatronics Engineering), Kim Min-ji, Kang Min-gyung, and Jung Yeon-ju (Division of Design), Kim Hyun-gyung, Won Do-wook, and Kim Chang-woo (Business Administration) invented the winning product described as a “Metal Air Fuel Cell Applied Polymer-Assembled Pack.” The pack includes “Elachem,” which creates a metal air fuel cell. The best feature of this product is that it is lightweight and simple to manufacture.
The co-development resulted through cooperation between Fusion Capstone Design and the DSU LINC Business Team. Fusion Capstone Design is an education program aimed at improving students’ workplace capabilities through manufacturing and design experience rather than research theses.
At first, the tech exhibition was intended only for engineering students, but as the separation between departments has begun to disappear, collaborations in design by other majors were also considered. The Head of LINC Business, Cho Dae-su said, “We will develop diverse enterprise-connection programs to help students improve their creativity.”
