2019 Dongseo Asia Initiatives Program (DAIP 2019) Application
Dongseo University, which aims to become the “Hub of Asia Pacific,” conducts the Dongseo Asia Initiatives Program (DAIP), a two-week curriculum of studying and working with professors during the summer vacation. It will be a good opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge about the cultures and societies of Asia through visiting different places related to the student’s major. The classes will be acknowledged as 2 credits in the elective classes criteria for the summer semester. Any students interested should apply.
- 1. Who can apply: Any International Students who attend four-year course in Dongseo University
(Students who graduate in August 2019, Students on a leave of absence CANNOT APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM)

(1) Total number of students: 5 Students as a team, If the number of applicants exceed the limit, students will be selected through grades and an oral interview
- (2) The date of the program may be changed according to local circumstances and flight schedule
- (3) 20 hours of courses will be proceeded at our university before and after the visit
- (4) This program is one of the summer semester courses
- ※ Note: Students can receive a maximum of 6 credits for season semesters, and a maximum of 12 credits for the regular semester.
- Students who have already gotten 12 credits from season semesters are not eligible for any more credit.
- 3. Application Date: April 30th (Tue) 2019 by 17:00
- 4. Announcement of Selectees: After the self-selection process starts May 2nd (Thu), the selected applicants will be notified on May 10th (Fri)
- 5. How to apply: After downloading the application form, submit it to the International Center with the transcript attached
- 6. Expense Details: The school will cover full round-tip airfare and part of the accommodation fee (School will support ₩100,000, any additional fees need to be covered by the student)
- ※ Other expenses (food, local transportation, etc.) needs to be covered by the student
- 7. Registration for the seasonal semester: Selected students must register for the course during the summer semester
- ※ Course fee: ₩80,000 (Payment period: mid-June)
