The 2018-1 GSI Reflections on the DSU Life was held on July 22. The event began with an academic forum on the 6th floor of the GSI building and later moved to Sohyang Art Hall for the closing ceremony. More than 400 people were in attendance, including non-Korean full-time students, exchange students, and Korea-China New Media Institute and GSI professors along with Korean GSI supporters, Global English Program participants, and GSI professors.
A total of 270 students completed their studies this semester; of these, 263 Korea-China New Media Institute students are expected to graduate in the spring of 2019; and seven digital contents students from the 2+2 program with Mykolas Romeris University are expected to graduate in the summer of 2018.
The GSI academic forum and closing ceremony are held every semester to create a sense of global leadership through reflections on university life, to celebrate the end of the semester and to enhance the attraction of studying at Dongseo University. At the 2018-1 academic forum, students unveiled 16 outstanding projects completed during the spring 2018 semester. Later, at the closing ceremony, excellence awards were presented. A celebration followed featuring performances by international students playing instruments and dancing as well as a special performance in Korean by GSI international students singing as a chorus.
