On August 30th, the Minister of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF) Paik Hee Young visited the Women’s Career Development Center of Dongseo University. The minister was briefed about the center’s present circumstances and its main activities by Director Kang Ok Sun (Professor, English Department).
DSU President Park Dong Soon, Vice President Chang Jekuk, Dean of Student Employment & Welfare Office, Kong Byung Seung, Sasang-gu Director Song Suk Hee, and Director-General of Busan Women & Family Policy Bureau, Lee Gui Ja, also participated in the briefing and discussion session.
After the briefing, Minister Paik said, “I’m very satisfied with the Center’s operating programs, and the MOGEF will also provide support in various ways.”They also discussed plans to help strengthen the employment prospects of female university students.
In order to gather opinions of people in the field and to determine ways of better providing support, Minister Paik also visited various women’s and youth agencies in Busan, including the Sasang-gu Office and the Supporting Center for Youth.
