DSU students will now be able to receive a diploma from Japan’s prestigious Josai University (JU) and Josai International University (JIU). DSU students and JU students can obtain a degree from both their own and each other’s universities simultaneously as per the recently established 2+2 Agreement.
On September 29th, the President of DSU, Park Dong Soon, and the Chancellor of Josai University Educational Corporation, Noriko Mizuta, signed the ‘Korea–Japan Joint Educational Program’ in DSU’s Global Room. According to the agreement, students will attend their own university in their freshman and sophomore years. They will then transfer to the other university to get their degrees simultaneously. Both universities concluded the 2+2 Agreement for training talented students who are proficient in three languages: Korean, Japanese and English. They also concluded cooperation agreements on joint film production as well as other areas.
JU, which was established in 1965, is located in Saitama. It has five divisions, ten departments, and four graduate schools, with eight thousand students. JIU, established in 1992, is in Chiba and has seven divisions, eight departments and four graduate schools.
