On November 28, 500 Dongseo University alumni gathered at Centum Campus in Haeundae to participate in the 2nd Dongseo Alumni Festival. Those who had not met for a long time enjoyed friendly conversation with one other. President Jekuk Chang along with DSU professors and staff also attended the festival.
The President of the Dongseo Alumni Association, Lee Jae-Hwan, who is also President of TopTech, donated 17 million won for the development of Dongseo University. Alumni also contributed 5 thousand won for each call made to the Dongseo University Development Fund (ARS 060-700-1201).
A progress report was delivered by the Alumni Association during an initial ceremony. This was followed by a dinner reception. The evening’s events continued with an opening address, a congratulatory address, and an activity called “I'm from Dongseo!” The festival ended with a group photo session.
One of the main highlights was the “I’m from Dongseo!” activity. Students exhibited their talents in various ways, including performances by the Musical majors and the Dance Club UCDC, the Department of Security Service majors, the archery club, and a yo-yo demonstration by Lee Min-Wu from Broadcasting and Media Studies.
Alumni Association President Lee Jae-Hwan said, “Thank you everyone for your precious time. We have organized the 2nd Dongseo Alumni Festival to thank you all for your hard work in increasing the honor of Dongseo University.”
In his congratulatory address, President Jekuk Chang said, “I’m pleased to see many alumni participating with pride in Dongseo University despite having busy schedules. DSU has achieved great things in a short time, and part of the reason we have grown remarkably is due to our outstanding alumni who have contributed greatly in their respective fields.”
At the close of the festival, all of the participating alumni cheered in unison the slogan, “I'm from Dongseo!”
