Cooperation Agreement Signed by Dongseo University and Busan Film Commission

On February 10th, representatives of Dongseo University and the Busan Film Commission signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement in the Global Room of the New Millennium Building.
The ceremony was attended by President Jekuk Chang, Dean for International Cooperation Chan Chung, Dean of the Im Kwon Taek College of Film and Entertainment Arts Nam In-young, as well as by Professors Son Hyung-seok and Lee Jong-chan of Dongseo University. The delegation from the Busan Film Commission included Chairman Oh Seok-geun, Manager of Business Strategy Bae Ju-hyung, and Manager of International Cooperation Jo Ju-hyun.
President Jekuk Chang and Chairman Oh Seok-geun promised to collaborate on film and video studies and on programs such as the International Summer Film School at Dongseo University.
President Chang said, “I appreciate the active support of the Busan Film Commission for our International Summer Film School. This agreement will also create great opportunities for young people studying film in the ‘Film City’ of Busan.”
Chairman Oh said, “I'm a fan of Dongseo University, and we are proud that the Im Kwon Taek College of Film and Entertainment Arts is located in Busan.” He added, “I have a responsibility to develop Busan as a hub city for film in Asia, and I’ll do my best for the successful management of the International Summer Film School.”
Based on the cooperation agreement, the two institutions will run joint courses, develop joint educational programs, and facilitate technical consultations and special lecture programs for their mutual development.
