On September 23rd Ms. Wu Chengchen, an international student from China studying in Dongseo University’s Graduate School of Design, was awarded the Grand Prize in an outdoor advertising contest called Busan Sign Expo. Ms. Wu Chengchen (27), won this prestigious award also known as the Busan Mayor’s Prize along with two million won in prize money for her work titled ‘Traditional Tearoom, Chado’. The stylish design is a shaped script with exaggerated soft curves and graphic patterns, which combines calligraphic fonts and tea leaves. Her work was praised for its informative nature and its contribution to the city’s landscape.
