Fifteen members of the Dongseo Honor Society went abroad on January 3rd to begin a sixteen week English language study program at the University of Alberta in Canada which ended April 3rd. The students studied English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills at the university while experiencing Canadian culture through a home stay. Two of the society’s top members will have all costs, such as flight fare, tuition, room and board, covered by Dongseo University.

The goals of the Honor Society are to inculcate students with ‘Three Powers’; power of creative thinking, power of communication, and power of love and service, as well as with major knowledge. The society hopes to develop students who have the insight and ability to solve pending issues affecting international society. When Dongseo students are sophomores, they are eligible to apply for the society, and when they successfully complete the program, they receive a certificate from the Honor Society issued by Dongseo University.
