Signing Ceremony for Academic Cooperation Agreement

Dongseo University signed an academic cooperation agreement with Northwest Nazarene University at DSU’s Global Room on February 25, 2010. NNU (Northwest Nazarene University) is located in Nampa, Idaho in the United States.

The President of DSU, Park Dong Soon; the Executive Vice President, Chang Je Kuk; the President of NNU, David Alexander; and the Director of the Center for International Cooperation, Eric Kellerer were in attendance at the signing ceremony. Presidents Park and Alexander signed the agreement which included exchanges of professors and students, a credit exchange, a short training program, a joint degree program and an agreement to cooperate actively in the continuing development of both universities.The agreement with NNU has boosted the number of foreign universities that cooperate with DSU in exchange programs to 81 universities from 21 countries.

President Park said, “I’m pleased that Dongseo, which has taken the lead in the fields of IT, Design, Digital Contents, and Film, is signing an agreement with NNU, a prestigious Christian university in the U.S. I’m sure that both universities will further develop the Educational Global Village through this agreement.” President Alexander also said, “We (DSU and NNU) have been growing with God’s grace. I hope that we will accelerate the development of both universities through various exchanges.”

After the signing ceremony, the president and other visitors from NNU visited the 3D Exhibition Hall, DIDIC, The Regional Innovation Center in High-Tech Arcade Games, Minseok Library and the University Church. This summer, twenty children of DSU’s faculty will stay at NNU for English training for two weeks from July 18 through August 2.
