Students from China to Study Business Management and Musical Performance at Dongseo University

On January 5, Dongseo University President Jekuk Chang and Dean Chung Chan of DSU’s Office for International Cooperation flew to Beijing, where they signed a 4+2 agreement with Chancellor Wu Baode, President Song Guohua, and Vice-President Sun Chao of Canvard College of Beijing Technology and Business University. The 4+2 agreement will allow Chinese students who obtained a degree in Business Management at Canvard College to study at Dongseo University’s Business Management Graduate School. Starting in the fall semester of 2017, about thirty Chinese students will enter Dongseo University’s Graduate School every year to study Business Management and to receive intensive Korean language education. Dongseo University and Canvard College are also discussing the final details of a 4+2 agreement for the master’s degree in Design.

 

On January 6, President Jekuk Chang and Dean Chung Chan then visited Communication University of China, where they signed a 2+2 agreement for a double degree in Musical Performance. President Hu Zhengrong, Vice-President Yuan Jun, and Director Yang Yan of the International Affairs Department also took part in the agreement ceremony. Communication University of China is recruiting new students who will participate in the 2+2 double degree program starting next September. The students will complete their first year of study in China and then come to Dongseo University for their second and third years starting in the 2018 fall semester. For their fourth year, they will return to Communication University of China. Throughout the program Communication University of China will apply Dongseo University’s curriculum and industrial-educational cooperation system.

 

President Jekuk Chang posted on Facebook saying, “Communication University of China is a prestigious university in China in the broadcasting and art fields. This college posted the guidelines for applications on its website and recorded 60,000 views within one day. We appreciate all of the interest received, and we look forward to next year when your students will join our university’s Musical Performance department.”
