Grand Prize, Excellence Prize and Participation Prize Won in Realistic Contents Contest

DSU students win three prizes at the Realistic Contents Contest

 

On May 23, Dongseo University President Jekuk Chang announced that all of the DSU teams participating in the Realistic Contents Contest won prizes. The undergraduate and master’s students in Digital Contents won the Grand Prize as well as prizes for excellence and participation.

 

The contest was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning along with the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Promotion in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. It was held to popularize realistic contents technology, which aims to create a realistic, immersive experience by stimulating all five senses. A total of 92 submitted works were considered for prizes.

 

The Grand Prize-winning workFly, by DSU’s Jeong Yong-jin, presents the story of a boy who, with help from an alien, achieves his dream of flying.City, which won the award for excellence, enables the user to vividly experience a modern urban environment.Sea World, which won the participation prize, takes the user on an adventure under the sea.

 

Commenting on winning the Grand Prize, Jeong Yong-jin said, “I’m grateful that my work was highly regarded. I think the things I learned through collaborating with my team helped me to achieve this result.”
