On August 28, DSU welcomed 212 junior-year Chinese students from the Korea-China International Education Institute. At the ceremony, the entering students made a pledge in Korean at the Sohyang Art Hall. The students have come to DSU for one year to study advanced courses in Digital Contents and to take basic courses in Korean language.

The Korea-China International Education Institute is a joint program between Dongseo University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Students in the program are majoring in Animation and Video, and while at DSU they will learn from the highly experienced and globally-minded professors in the Division of Digital Contents.

In his welcome remarks, Vice President of DSU Cho Jeoung Sung said, “DSU is a leading university in the fields of Digital Contents, IT, and Film. While you are here, you will have the chance to study with the best professors. I hope you will make the most of this experience and later act as a bridge between Korea and China.”

The Division of Digital Contents consists of Game Technology, Game Art, Digital Production, 3D Animation, and Visual Effects. All professors from the division participated in the ceremony and promised to offer the best education to the incoming students.

At the welcome ceremony, Vice President of the Korea-China International Education Institute Yoon Taesu said, “I’d like to offer some advice as you begin your studies at Dongseo University. First, all 212 students should strive to be leaders. It is up to you and your fellow Korean students to display the strength of our educational programs. Second, you should aim to be culturally-responsible people. The cultural contents industry provides excellent chances to share the knowledge you acquire. Finally, you should make a study plan for your time at DSU. The professors and staff here will offer you caring support, and you should do your best to create a successful academic experience.”
