COVID-19 Visa Extension for Spring semster 2022

Notification: Extension of Stay & Visa Status Change

You can submit your application @ DSU International Exchange Center!

Due to the over traffic at the immigration office, International Exchange Center will accept the application and submit it to the immigration office all at once for Extension of Stay / Visa Status Change. If you would like to visit the immigration office by yourself, you should contact the "Hi Korea website" and "Register for visit" and make a reservation. If you do not make a reservation, they CAN NOT proceed with the application at the spot. Because of your visa expiration dates, some students have to visit the immigration office by themselves, please make a reservation through hikorea (hikorea.go.kr) website and visit the immigration office by yourself. If you pass the expiration date, you have to pay the penalty fare.

D-2 Extension of Stay (Degree-level Students)

  1. 1. Application Period

  - 1st Submission: 7-11 March, 2022 (10:00-12:00 / 14:00-17:00)

  - 2nd Submission: 21-25 March, 2022 (10:00-12:00 / 14:00-17:00)

  1. 2. Venue: International Exchange Center
  2. 3. Documents for Applications

  - Application Form (Downloadable as attachment / also Available at the International Exchange Center)

  - Alien Registration Card

  - Bank Balance Certificate (For those who completed the Undergraduate / Graduate Program or students with lower than 2.0 GPA )

  - Certificate of Enrollment, Transcript

  - Certificate of Tuition Payment (Available at the accounting office, 4F, New Millennium Building) 

  - Certificate of Dormitory Resident (Available at the Dormitory Office) or certificate or residence (Housing contract)

  - Fee: 60,000 KRW

  

  < Additional documents for extension for thesis preparation (graduate school students)>

   - Confirmation form for Faculty Advisor on a student's thesis Schedule (논문 지도교수 확인서): showing details of the thesis teaching process, future review schedule, and the reason for the recommendation

   - Certificate of enrollment or Certificate of completion

   - Bank statement (Student's own bank account in Korea)
