Former President Park Dong Soon Receives Leadership Award

The Korean National Council of Women presented a leadership award to Dr. Park Dong Soon, Former President of DSU and Chancellor of the Dongseo Educational Foundation, at their 13th Awards Ceremony held in Seoul on October 30th.
The prestigious award was presented in acknowledgement of Dr. Park’s role as an outstanding female leader. Besides fulfilling her professional responsibilities at DSU, she has dedicated her time and energy to reducing gender inequality, elevating women in society, ensuring equal access to education, and volunteering within the community.
This year marks Dr. Park’s 30th year of involvement with Zonta International, an organization which aims to improve women’s rights and social position. In 1977, she also established the Academy of Continuing Education, which has since helped to foster the development of over 1600 talented women.
Recently, Dr. Park Dong Soon established BMGM (Busan Mothers Green Movement). With 3500 members, BMGM has been working to protect Korea’s natural environment.
Dr. Park Dong Soon was honored to receive such a prestigious award and will continue to promote the valuable causes to which she is devoted.
