Dongseo Alumni to Work at Bell Laboratories

Dr. Lee Dae Seok, who earned a Bachelor’s degreein Computer Engineering as well as Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Ubiquitous-IT from Dongseo University (DSU), was selected as a senior researcher at Bell Laboratories, one of the world’s top laboratories. Bell Labs operates its headquarters at Murray Hill, New Jersey, United States, has research and development facilities throughout the world. It boasts thirteen Nobel Prize winners, fifty thousand patents, one thousand scientists, and major research centers located in eight countries.
Dr. Lee received a Bachelor’s degree in 2004. Thanks to a scholarship program, such as a TAship (teaching assistant) program, and to projects which support tuition, Dr. Lee could be absorbed in studying during his Master’s course. He attended programs cooperating with foreign universities at DSU when he entered the Doctorate program in 2006. He participated in an exchange program for one year at Oulu University in Finland. After he got his doctorate in 2010, he worked as a senior researcher at UA-RIC (Regional Innovation Center for Ubiquitous Appliance) at DSU. He applied to Bell Labs and met with good results. Dr. Lee has worked there since December 1st.
