Minseok Library Receives an Achievement Award

Dongseo University’s Minseok Library received an achievement award at the 2010 annual conference of the Korea Academic Information Association held at the Haeundae Grand Hotel on December 9th. The Minseok Library, which is the largest library in Busan, shares its intellectual resources with local residents and with the nation through an open-door policy.
At the ceremony, a spokesperson for the Korea Academic Information Conference said, “Minseok Library has contributed to improving the use of information resources of national knowledge through public information service. It supports legislative work and the National Assembly through a cooperative agreement of academic exchange with the National Assembly Library. For this reason, the Minseok Library has been granted an achievement award.”
The libraries of Sookmyung Women’s University and of Chonnam National University also received achievement awards. The Korea Academic Information Association consists of 1,081 organizations, such as Korean universities, government agencies and local assemblies, which concluded a cooperative agreement for the exchange of academic information with the National Assembly Library.
