The Division of Health Science: A DSU Leader in Growth and Development

The Division of Health Science is emerging as a center of future Dongseo development. On August 9th, DSU reported an increase in the number of students in the Department of Nursing. It also reported that the Department of Occupational Therapy is to be established with the official authorization from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Freshman recruiting will begin in 2011.

Under the umbrella of the Division of Health Science, six departments have been established: Health Administration, Biomedical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Radiological Science and Occupational Therapy. In 2011 the Division of Health Science will recruit forty students for the Health Administration, forty for Biomedical Laboratory Science, sixty for Nursing, twenty-five for Dental Hygiene, twenty-five for Radiological Science, and fifteen for Occupational Therapy, making a total of two-hundred and five students.

DSU authorities said, “Dongseo University has rapidly developed through the specialization in the fields of design, film, and IT. From now on, the Division of Health Science will also be a source of future DSU development, offering high quality health care to local residents.”
