On June 22nd, 2010, as soon as final exams finished last semester, the Nakdong River Environmental Protection Corps went on a service project to the Nakdong River area. The 12th Nakdong River Environmental Protection Corps had 103 members: one hundred students and three staff, including Professor Cho Myung Chan as Head, Mr. Baek Woon Yong and Gong Sung Moo.
The Nakdong River Enviromental Protection Corps conducted volunteer activities which consisted of six parts including examining the water quality, researching ecological preservation districts and cultural spots, and carrying out a campaign for saving Nakdong River. Volunteers also walked from Waegwan to Andong, a distance of about 106 kilometers in just four days.
The Nakdong River Enviromental Protection Corps safely returned on June 28th. The students who completed the volunteer activity were given the president’s certification of volunteer activity.
