According to this agreement, DSU is responsible for pre-production processing, including the development of 3D characters for the movie. DSU will spur the development of 3D contents, as well as the training of experts, by creating a partnership with Interpark and CJ Powercast. These two companies will cut down production costs and time by using the facilities of the university and its human resources.
DSU has secured equipment and human resources for pre-production through its Arcade Game Region Innovation Center. Also, Professor Lee Sun Jin, who has a variety of experiences including participation in the pre-production work for the movie Avatar, will bring a wealth of knowledge to the task.
President Park Dong Soon said, "Pre-production plays a very important role in the age of digital imaging. I believe that through this agreement the three institutions will create a myth, as Weta Digital did in New Zealand when producing special effects for the movie The Lord of the Rings. "
