On June 7th, the Ranking of Internationalized Universities in Asia was announced in the Chosun Ilbo newspaper. DSU ranked 50th and was the only university to make the list from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam province! DSU was listed among other top Korean and Asian universities, including ones from areas with a long history of internationalization such as Hong Kong and Singapore. The British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) worked with the Chosun Ilbo to evaluate the internationalization of universities based on a number of criteria including the ratio of foreign/Korean teachers, foreign/Korean students, the number of exchange students sent abroad, and the number of exchange students studying at the home campuses.

Dongseo University has been working diligently to establish programs offering Korean students opportunities to study abroad as well as programs attracting international students to DSU from all over the world. Dongseo currently has exchange agreements with 137 universities in 33 countries, and DSU has established a branch campus in North America along with a joint Korea-China International Educational Institute. In addition, DSU has many joint degree programs with universities in Germany and Lithuania; offers Study Abroad Program (SAP) in America and China; sends students annually to North America as part of its Honor Society program; and is a founding member of the Asia Summer Program (ASP), which DSU will host this year.
