Kim Su Kyung, a freshman in the Division of Leisure & Sports Science, won second prize at the National Archery Championship. This championship was held at the Jinho Archery Stadium in Yecheon, Kyeongbuk, from March 24th to 26th. She was ranked first in the 60m competition and third in the 70m competition, earning an overall rank of second place for the combined exercises.
Kim Su Kyung graduated from Inil Girls’ High School in Incheon and entered Dongseo University to master archery under the guidance of Director Lee Han Sub of Dongseo Archery Team, who had won a gold medal at the Olympics. This is a big result for the first participation in a national archery championship.
Kim Su Kyung said, “I’m very glad to get this prize in my first competition after entering Dongseo. I’m surely going to be a member of the national archery team and bring glory to my university.”
