Korea News Network (KNN), the representative broadcasting agency of the Busan and Gyeongnam regions, donated an outside broadcast van to Dongseo University (DSU). Through this donation, KNN hopes that DSU, which offers a specialty program in film & video, will foster superior video students by using the van as a practice tool. On November 10, 2011, a special ceremony was held on the outside deck of the second floor of the New Millennium Building to mark the occasion. The President of DSU, Chang Jekuk, and the Vice President of DSU, Cho Jeung Sung, celebrated with directors, heads of departments, DSU students, the CEO of KNN Mr. Lee Man Soo, the Director of KNN Kim Seok Hwan, and other officials. The donated van has a lot of broadcasting equipment, such as a camera, VTR, editing equipment, and sound equipment. Students are also able to practice ground wave, cable, and Internet relay techniques using the van.

CEO Lee said, "I am pleased to donate the broadcasting van, along with our agencies' sweat and effort, to our fraternal university, Dongseo University. If the students learn practical work techniques, which include audio, video, microwave, and camera direction, they will be able to apply these skills in the field later when they work in the industry. I think that this donation is a real milestone in cooperation between industry and this university.”

President Chang Jekuk said, "I heartily thank KNN for donating the van, and in return we will do our best to cultivate superior broadcasting and video students. Because students will now be able to shoot and practice video broadcasting at a much higher level, this donation has greatly enhanced our specialized film and video program."

DSU is the first local university to use an outside broadcasting van, a tool which will allow DSU to establish the learning of high-quality practical conditions as the mainstay of DSU programs in the local movie and video field.
