News Early Start-up Package Offered to Dongseo Entrepreneurs

From April 6 to April 23, 2020, DSU is recruiting skilled and motivated entrepreneurs to participate in the ‘2020 Early Start-up Package’ project. Organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and in partnership with universities and other tertiary institutions with well-established excellent entrepreneurship support capabilities, the project is a support program designed to assist start-up entrepreneurs in advanced technical fields with the production of prototypes, the attracting of investment, and the development of sales channels. 

Dongseo University has been selected as a host institution of the project in 2020, and will take full advantage of the opportunities it presents to further buttress the extensive support it offers to start-ups. This will be done through utilizing its excellent, preexisting industrial-educational cooperation support and corporate support infrastructure linkage, and will ultimately transform the university into local start-up cradle with the goal of mutual growth and job creation in local industry.

Once selected to for the 2020 Early Start-up Package, entrepreneurs will be able to receive up to 100 million won of financial support for prototype development and marketing expenses during their participating period of 9 months. In particular, DSU will provide 14 specialized sub-programs through the package, such as attracting investment, revitalizing base entrepreneurship culture, and hands-on entrepreneurship education, with a focus on enabling the seven detailed strategies based on the core strategies of the Dongseo Angel Investment Fund. Moreover, through the establishment of the DSU Creative Startup Cluster, shared between the DSU main and Centum campuses, it is also possible to benefit from one-stop entrepreneurship support services that combine entrepreneurship education, R&D, and marketing support.
