Fifteen students from Vietnam’s National Economics University participated in the 2+2 Joint Curriculum Entrance Ceremony held in Hanoi on October 21 for the recently established program in Business Management/Business Administration. Vietnam’s prestigious National Economics University is located in the capital city of Hanoi and was ranked 9th in the 2014 Vietnamese university evaluation.

Per the terms of the 2+2 joint program, the 15 Vietnamese students will study English as well as major courses in Vietnam in their first and second year, after which they will transfer to Dongseo University to study in their third and fourth year. At DSU, the Global Studies Institute (GSI), which provides support services for international students, will help them to take courses in either Korean or English. Then prior to the October 21 Entrance Ceremony, they signed an agreement for the 2+2 Joint Education Program. An official from the National Economics University said, “We recruited only students who can understand courses in English. By studying four years in Vietnam’s National Economics University and Korea’s Dongseo University, these students will be poised to become industry leaders in Vietnam.”

In attendance at the ceremony were President Tran Tho Dat of Vietnam’s National Economics University and professors in the Business Management Department of National Economics University as well as Professor Ryu Sung-Kyung, Dean of the Business Administration Division at Dongseo University and Professor Kim Hekyung, Dean of the Global Studies Institute at Dongseo University.
