Inauguration Ceremony of the CAMPUS Asia Project Held in Beijing

Korea-China-Japan summit leaders with Dr. Jekuk Chang, President of Dongseo University, and 8 other university presidents at the inauguration ceremony of the CAMPUS Asia project.

Korea-China-Japan summit leaders and 9 university presidents were in attendance

On May 13th, the inauguration ceremony of the CAMPUS Asia project, a university student exchange program, was held in Beijing, where the Korea-China-Japan summit meeting took place.
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Japanese Prime Minister Noda Yoshihiko and 9 university presidents from 3 different universities in each country were invited.
The universities selected for the project are Dongseo University, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management, University of Beijing, Tsinghua University, People's University of China, Ritsumeikan University, Nagoya University, and Hitotsubashi University.
The project is a student exchange program jointly supported by the Education Ministries of Korea, China and Japan. It was benchmarked after ‘ERASMUS’, which has contributed to integration, internationalization, student career development and academic development through higher education in Europe.
Dongseo University has established a consortium with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China and with Ritsumeikan University in Japan for ‘Fostering East Asian Leaders for the Next Generation’ and began the CAMPUS Asia project in the spring semester of 2012.
