The Center for Radiological Environment & Health Science was founded with a goal of building infrastructure for convergence research systems such as radiation and nuclear power-related health, industry, application, biology, medicine, accident, facility disposal, related surveys and related policies.
Duties
- Public health/environment personnel incubation project
- Public health/environment researches
- Information, technology and researcher exchange among the industry, academia, research and government authority; holds a seminar and symposium
- Radiation safety management monitoring and related tasks
- Radiation accident & disaster prevention-related studies
- Design of radiation measurement & analysis equipment
- Nurturing radiation experts
Research Activities
- Diverse radiation safety-related researches such as radiation safety management and Monte-Carlo simulation for safety
- Survey on the level of radiation dose
- Study on how to reduce radiation dose
- Low-dose radiation imaging techniques (CT, PET)
- Other radiation safety-related health & medicine studies
