(Advanced Digital Painting)

Advanced Digital Painting (Animation & VFX)

Before the midterm, Students will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to create a realistic representation of the human body from face to body, including skin, clothing, and hair textures. Students will submit a completed human character based on their ideas.

After the midterm, Learn techniques and theories for depicting backgrounds, including natural and artificial objects, select a scene for their project, and submit their finished work.

360° shooting & Scene Scheduling (Film & VFX)

Explanation is provided to gain a comprehensive understanding of VR technology, and education is given regarding VR cameras. Training is conducted on the planning of VR content, followed by actual filming to create videos in VR format, while learning various post-production techniques including stitching.

After the midterm exam, advanced filming techniques and planning are taught, focusing on camera operation, lighting, location setup, color, and effects. Through workshops, the final video is produced.

VFX特效2 VFX 2 (Film & VFX)

The VFX1 course for the Spring 2023 semester is taught with the software Houdini as the main focus and Nuke as a supplement. Before the middle of the semester, the course covers the basic node introduction, camera match-move, FX simulation, material and lighting setting, and multi-layered render settings. After the middle of the semester, we combined the special effects we learned with the live footage, including more detailed use of lens distortion correction, 3D camera tracking, obtaining materials from the live footage, roto and compositing, and other steps, in order to achieve a non-differentiated integration of special effects and live footage. But special effects require more time and practice than a one-semester course crash course. Based on the content covered in the previous semester's VFX1 course, this semester we will be studying how Maya, as the industry's leading software for film and television visual effects production, contributes to the creation of visual effects. In VFX2, we will delve into the practical applications of Maya effects within the industry, including particle effects, fluid effects, fire production, concepts and applications of crowd simulations, as well as cloth and hair creation. Lectures will focus on these fundamental types of effects, interspersed with discussions on basic industry work standards and shared experiences, aiming to achieve practical purposes.
