ZUEL Delegation Visits Dongseo

A delegation from China’s Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) visited Dongseo University on June 1st. The delegation consisted of six members: President of the Board of Governors, Xu Dunkai; Dean of Journalism and Mass Media School, Hu Decai; Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office, Xu Gui Ju and others. ZUEL, which is located in Wuhan, has twenty-five-thousand students and nine-hundred professors. Dongseo is currently working especially with this university on establishing a China-Korea International Education Center.
The Zhongnam delegation met with DSU Founder, Dr. Chang Sung Man, and DSU President, Park Dong Soon, to discuss the establishment of the China-Korea International Education Center and 3D animation joint project. Founder Chang said at this meeting, “I hope that the China-Korea International Education Center will be a symbol of Korean-Chinese friendship as well as a successful example of academic exchanges between two universities.”
President Park said, “I cannot forget attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the establishment of the China-Korea International Education Center. I hope Dongseo and Zhongnan will set up a close cooperative system with each other.”
The President of the Board of Governors Xu Dunkai said, “The exchanges with Dongseo have played an important role in ZUEL’s globalization. Dongseo has a high-quality curriculum and academic-industrial cooperation. We would like to learn the know-how in order to imitate it. We especially hope that many exchanges and much cooperation will be done between our two universities in the field of high technology, including 3D animation.”
While visiting DSU, the ZUEL delegation toured the 3D Exhibition Hall, Minseok Library, and the Im Kwon Taek Film Archive and Research Center. They also conferred with DSU Vice President Chang Jekuk, Dean of Planning & Research Office Song Seung Hwan, and Professor Kwon Se Jin, about details concerning the China-Korea International Education Center.
