The 「2026 1st Korean Speech Contest for International Students」 will be held for international students.
The contest has been organized to provide international students with an opportunity to freely express their experiences and thoughts in Korean and to share various stories about life in Busan and Korea. Participants will not be evaluated based solely on their Korean language proficiency. Instead, their stories related to the topic, personal experiences and thoughts, delivery, etc. will be comprehensively evaluated, taking into consideration each participant's Korean language level and learning experience.
The main details are as follows.
- Application Deadline: September 28, 2026 (Mon)
- Preliminary Round: Submission of a Korean presentation video within 60 seconds
- Final Round: October 9, 2026 (Fri) at 2:00 PM
- Eligibility: International students enrolled in domestic universities, graduate schools, Korean language education institutions, etc.
- Participation Fee: Free
- Finalists: Approximately 20 people
- Grand Prize: 1,000,000 KRW
- Excellence Award: 500,000 KRW
- Merit Award: 300,000 KRW
