We are pleased to announce the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degrees for the 2026 academic year.

In 2026, the Korean government plans to invite 2,000 international students to pursue graduate studies in Korea through the GKS program.

Applicants may apply either through a Korean Embassy in their country of citizenship (Embassy Track) or directly to a designated university (University Track).

▶ Application Deadline (University Track – Dongseo University)

    March 25, 2026, by 5:00 PM (KST)
       ※ Only applications with all required documents received by post by the deadline will be accepted.

▶ Important Notice
The attached files include essential information such as Dongseo University information, application forms, and detailed guidelines.
Applicants are strongly required to read all attached documents carefully before applying, as failure to follow the guidelines may result in disqualification.

▶ Additional Notice (February 27, 2026) - For Applicants from Myanmar

Dongseo University would like to inform applicants of an additional update regarding the submission of supporting documents for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G).

As of February 27, 2026, the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) has officially circulated a notice concerning revised document requirements applicable to Myanmar nationals.

○ Applicable Applicants

  •  - Myanmar nationals applying for the 2026 GKS-G program

○ Revised Document Requirement (For Myanmar applicants only)

  •  - During the 1st and 2nd rounds of screening, documents without Apostille or Consular Confirmation will be accepted.

  •  - Applicants who successfully pass the 2nd round of screening must subsequently obtain Consular Confirmation of their documents through the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Myanmar.

Detailed instructions regarding the submission procedure and timeline for consular-confirmed documents will be provided to successful candidates after the announcement of the 2nd round results.
