The workshops and special lectures organized by ADCC (Asia Design College Consortium) aim to promote practical academic exchange and educational innovation among leading design universities across Asia.
The faculty and emerging researcher mobility programs are designed to enable invited and dispatched experts to share the latest trends in design research through lectures and workshops while strengthening global academic networks. In addition, special lectures and conference-linked workshops serve as international platforms that enhance students’ learning opportunities and motivation for global study while encouraging the exchange of design education methodologies and international collaboration across countries.

Dongseo University RISE Project Group held a special lecture to explore new business opportunities through the convergence of design and biohealth while strengthening the foundation for regional innovation.
The lecture took place on November 12, 2025, and was organized as a platform for sharing emerging industrial possibilities and application cases centered on the convergence of design and technology.
During the lecture, various examples were introduced to demonstrate how design is being applied across industries, particularly in digital healthcare and the biohealth sector. Special attention was given to the role of design as a key element in improving user experience and service structures within medical services, healthcare platforms, and data-driven services.
The program also included discussions on discovering new services and business models through the integration of design and technology, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary and cross-industry approaches. Through these discussions, participants explored how design can function not only as a visual element but also as a strategic tool driving industrial innovation.
Additional discussions focused on future directions and expansion possibilities for design applications within the biohealth sector, while highlighting the importance of data-driven services and user-centered design approaches.
This lecture served as an opportunity to explore the potential for discovering new business opportunities based on the convergence of design and biohealth, while also establishing new directions for collaboration connected to regional industries.
Dongseo University RISE Project Group plans to continue expanding collaborations with various industries through convergence design and to operate ongoing lecture and cooperation programs aimed at discovering emerging industries and promoting regional innovation.
