Dongseo University College of Design is a specialized design college and one of the largest design-focused colleges in the region. The college consists of the Division of Design, which includes four majors—Visual Design, Digital Media Design, Product Interaction Design, and Environmental Design—as well as the Departments of Fashion Design, Advertising & Public Relations, and Architecture (5-year accredited program). Through its comprehensive design education system, the college aims to cultivate leading designers in Asia.

Established in 1968 as Kyushu Institute of Design, the institution has been a pioneer in Japanese design education and research for more than half a century, pursuing the “humanization of technology” through design. Following its integration with Kyushu University in 2003, the institution continues its tradition and legacy through the current Faculty and Graduate School of Design.

Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts is one of the nine major art universities in China and one of the country’s eight independent fine arts institutions. Its origins trace back to the Beiyang Women’s Normal School established in 1906. Since adopting its current name in 1980, the academy has developed into a leading center for art and design education and research in northern China.

National Cheng Kung University is a leading public research university located in Tainan, Taiwan, established in 1931. As a major research institution in southern Taiwan, the university has contributed to regional industrial and social development through diverse academic disciplines. The College of Planning and Design was established in 2003 through the integration of the Departments of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Industrial Design, becoming the only independent college of planning and design within a comprehensive national university in Taiwan. The college has continued to expand its academic fields through initiatives such as the Graduate Institute of Creative Industry Design in 2006 and the establishment of the Techno Art master’s program in 2014.
