This program promotes community innovation and global competitiveness through student-led field research and experiential learning. To support this vision, the program actively utilizes collaborative networks with leading design universities across Asia to expand opportunities for participation in international collaborative research and mobility programs.
In particular, the program operates SIG (Special Interest Group) research groups in which undergraduate and graduate students collaboratively participate, fostering an interdisciplinary and intergenerational research environment while building international networks for design education and research collaboration. Through these efforts, the program seeks to develop Busan into a leading hub for design education and research in Asia while conducting practice-oriented research that connects local and global communities, ultimately contributing to the cultivation of future global design leaders.
