The Secretariat of the Asia Design College Consortium (ADCC) held the ADCC Colloquium on Tuesday, February 11, 2026, in the Medium Screening Room of the New Millennium Hall at Dongseo University’s Jurye Campus. The colloquium was organized as a venue for presenting research outcomes related to the Asian-style Design Erasmus Mobility University Project, a specialized autonomous innovation initiative supported by the RISE Project Group, while also providing opportunities for expert consultation and comprehensive discussion.
The event was attended by Juyoung Chang, Dean of the Design College; Professor Taewan Kim, Director of ADCC; Professor Donghyun Kim, Academic Affairs Director of the Design College; Professor Myunghee Lee, Head Professor of the Graduate School Department of Design; as well as numerous undergraduate and graduate students.

The colloquium consisted of presentations on global collaborative research, mobility programs, and SIG research initiatives conducted through ADCC.
The global collaborative research session was presented by Research Professor Jihye Kim from the Asia Future Design Institute. Under the theme “Development of an East Asian Regional Culture-Based AI Convergence Design Education Model,” the presentation introduced research exploring new approaches to design education centered on ADCC member universities.

The mobility program session featured presentations by student representatives who participated in the first-year programs. Kyungran Kim and Shinhee Lee from the Shanghai University of Engineering Science team, Junhee Lee from the Musashino Art University team, and Hosu Jang from the Kyushu Sangyo University team each shared their experiences related to international activities and the development of professional competencies.
The SIG research initiative, a program in which graduate and undergraduate students form teams to conduct various research projects, featured presentations from two teams during the colloquium. Jihye Yoo and Heewon Lee from the “3°C” team presented their research titled “Development of AI-Based Media Content for Solving Marine Waste Issues.” This was followed by a presentation from Lida Najafzadeh, representative of the “WeDesign” team and a master’s student, on “Research on Inclusive Design Strategies through Customer Journey Mapping, Persona Development, and Comparative Analysis of Administrative Barriers for Foreign Users of Korean Public Financial Institutions.”

Following each presentation, expert discussion sessions were held. Professor Young Kyun Koh from the Hongik University Graduate School of Industrial Arts and Bobae Lee, CEO of B&Design, participated as invited experts and led the discussions.
Through the colloquium, the ADCC Secretariat reviewed the activities carried out during the first year of the program and plans to further refine and systematically develop related initiatives in the future. The Secretariat also announced that the ADCC Colloquium will be organized annually every December.
