What is Clinical Pathology?

Clinical pathology is a field focused on diagnosing and treating diseases by testing and analyzing specimens obtained from the human body. Clinical tests encompass a variety of methods, including chemical, microbiological, hematological, and immunological analyses. In recent times, genetic testing methods have emerged and are expected to play a significant role.

Given its interdisciplinary nature, blending life sciences, chemistry, and medicine, graduates can pursue careers as clinical pathologists in hospitals, or they may advance to national or public research institutes and clinical testing centers.

Our program not only prepares students for medical school or graduate studies but also offers courses for international certifications and licenses, particularly for employment in the United States, where there is a current shortage of qualified professionals.

Dongseo University's Department of Clinical Pathology is dedicated to training creative and proactive global professionals."
