What type of portfolio is needed for applicants in the Graduate program? 3. For someone who has not produced any films but has written over 10 published books in different genres, is it still necessary to submit a portfolio? 4.Does this portfolio requirement apply to both University Track and Embassy Track applicants? 5. Are short scripts or written stories accepted as part of the portfolio for applicants with a literary background? 6.Are there any additional guidelines or suggestions for applicants whose primary experience is in writing rather than film production? GKS Graduate Scholarship (GKS-G) Requirements for Applicants to Dongseo University, Im Kwon-Taek College of Film and Performing Arts (Film Department)1. General GKS-G Eligibility Requirements (Administered by NIIED)Nationality, Age, and Academic BackgroundBoth the applicant and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship (i.e., citizenship of the inviting country). The applicant must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1986, based on the 2026 admission cycle). Regarding academic qualifications, applicants for the Master's program must hold a Bachelor's degree, while applicants for the Doctoral program must hold a Master's degree.Academic Performance RequirementApplicants must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.64 out of 4.0 (or 80% or higher on a percentage scale) from their most recent academic institution.Program Duration• Master's Program: Total of 3 years (1 year of Korean language training + 2 years of degree coursework)• Doctoral Program: Total of 4 years (1 year of Korean language training + 3 years of degree coursework)• 2. Choosing an Application TrackApplicants must choose only one of the two tracks below. Applying through both tracks simultaneously will result in disqualification.• Embassy Track: Applicants apply through the Korean Embassy or Consulate in their home country.
