Welcome to Dongseo University's SDGs Center

With a steadfast commitment to humanity's service, Dongseo University proudly aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this spirit, we inaugurated the Dongseo University Sustainable Development Center (DSU-SDGs) in September 2022.

As a cradle of specialized knowledge and expertise, our university embraces its pivotal role in the sustainable development agenda. The pursuit of the SDGs at Dongseo University demands a synthesis of professional knowledge and the honing of skills across diverse disciplines. It is a collaborative endeavor, requiring every member to engage and contribute to the pillars of 'people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership.'

The DSU-SDGs Center stands at the forefront of our institution's social value realization, integrating research, education, community engagement, and industry-academic partnerships. We are dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary research, cultivating talents poised to achieve global social impact, and crafting synergistic solutions for local community empowerment and industry-academic cooperation.

Our educational and research initiatives at the Center are designed to energize both local and global communities, spearheading development that begins within our university and resonates beyond. The cornerstone of our approach is collective impact—a concerted, responsible collaboration amongst all stakeholders.

동서대학교는 UN의 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)의 글로벌 활동에 동참하여, 모든 구성원의 참여를 유도하고, 인류를 위한 봉사라는 건학이념을 실천하기 위해 2022년 9월 지속가능발전센터(DSU-SDGs Center)를 설립하였습니다.

대학은 전문 지식의 창출과 전문가 양성기관으로서 지속가능발전 의제에 참여할 중요한 역할과 의무가 있습니다. 지속가능발전목표의 실천을 위해서는 여러 분야의 전문적인 지식을 쌓고 역량을 길러야 합니다. ‘인간, 지구, 번영, 평화, 파트너십’ 영역에서 모든 구성원이 협업하고 상호연결하며 책임감을 가지고 참여해야 합니다.

동서대학교 지속가능발전센터는 SDGs 총괄기관으로서 연구, 교육, 활동, 산학 등 대학의 사회적 가치 실현의 임무를 하게 될 것입니다. 우리대학 내 전 전공분야 간의 융합연구와 글로컬 사회적 가치를 실현하는 인재 양성, 지역사회의 상생 솔루션 도출, 지역산학협업 활성화에 기여하고자 합니다.

지속가능발전센터를 거점으로하는 지속가능발전목표의 연구와 교육은 우리 대학과 지역에서 출발하여 글로벌 영역의 커뮤니티와 산업의 활성화에 기여할 것입니다. 무엇보다도 지속가능발전목표는 모든 구성원이 협업하고 상호연결하며 책임감을 가지고 참여하는 콜렉티브 임팩트(Collective Impact)가 핵심입니다.

우리의 지향점을 살펴보고, 자원을 활용하고, 공동의 사명에 기여하도록 여러분을 초대합니다. 학생, 연구자, 실무자, 옹호자 모두 여기에 변화를 가져올 수 있는 자리가 있습니다.
